At the height of style and elegance, Aston Martin unveils its first luxury home in Asia. Situated in Tokyo’s coveted Omotesando area, the private dwelling is the product of a collaboration between the esteemed British automaker and Japanese concierge leader Vibroa. A stunning work of architecture and design, the № 001 Minami Aoyama is a true showcase of Aston Martin’s mastery in style.
Scheduled for completion in November 2023, the four-storey property will have its own wine cellar, home cinema, gym and private spa. A roof terrace, complete with serene views of Tokyo, makes for the perfect place to relax and unwind. Of course, it wouldn’t be an Aston Martin-designed home without an automotive gallery.
Clean lines and unique geometry come together to create a modern and minimalist look within the space, all while embracing the vital influence of local culture. The building’s striking exterior and beautiful interiors are the joint work of Aston Martin’s acclaimed designers alongside a Japanese architect. Japanese culture—with its rich heritage and distinct style—holds an important place in the design process.
The result: unique furnishings that seamlessly blend recognisable Japanese influences with creative interior features. A rectangular wooden tub in the spa terrace comes reminiscent of an indoor Japanese onsen, while a black geometric staircase introduces a refined industrial edge to the home. Natural materials feature prominently in line with Japanese design philosophy, existing side-by-side with intriguing structures that lend a touch of visual contrast.
