It was always going to be Saint Laurent for Zoë Kravitz’s London Batman premiere. The YSL ambassador has a knack for making the most devastatingly simple red-carpet proposition – like a little black dress – look subversive thanks to her signature sexy bourgeois style. Last night’s jaw-dropping detail came via cut-out chest panels that read cheeky, but still managed to look demure thanks to the classic silhouette and her Audrey Hepburn-esque fringe.
The conceal and reveal trend needs little in the way of accessories, so Zoë looked to her long-time jewellery love, Jessica McCormack, for a suite of emeralds that looked more daring—and superhero friendly for the woman playing Catwoman—than diamonds.

“Zoë is the perfect emerald girl,” McCormack, whose London mecca Kravitz frequents whenever she is in town, tells Vogue of the emerald and pearl earrings and three emerald button back rings she lent the star. “She’s so effortlessly and refreshingly elegant, and hip at the same time—so she can totally pull off preppy pearls in an utterly modern way. I couldn’t think of a better pair of earrings for her to wear for this occasion.”

While Zoë’s talking-point Saint Laurent looks have been much publicised, McCormack’s pretty-tough jewellery is what Kravitz wears everyday (a quick scroll down her Instagram shows it’s all dainty ear parties and feline flicks). For her legions of style followers who can only dream of pulling off say, a leather trench with the same panache, cool-girl jewellery is the way to bring Kravitz flair to your wardrobe—whether your style is slinky or sensible.

“I live in her jewellery, I really do,” says Kravitz of Jessica’s Gypset hoops and Ball n Chain designs, which usually snake up her ears. “Once I put something on, I just could leave it on. I love that Jessica creates these special, unique pieces that look great with a gown, but also a T-shirt. That’s totally my vibe.”
While we’d love to see Kravitz rewear her YSL looks—her London look throws back to her 2019 Met Gala gown and would have looked very Selina Kyle on the red carpet—McCormack’s jewellery is to be worn forever.
