Burberry has long been known for its signature checks and iconic trench coats, yet the brand’s design DNA stretches far more than that. Boasting a diverse ready-to-wear and accessories offering, the British label has further evolved under chief creative officer Daniel Lee’s vision.

Since fall/winter 2025, we see the familiar codes meet this fresh take in the best way too. We still see the signature checks but across different silhouettes; there’s also cropped versions of the adored trench in a ‘Tropical Gabardine’ iteration, making it more wearable for lighter climates like ours, yet still keeping its signature touch of the familiar epaulettes. There are also fun textural updates like quilted finishes, pleats and fringes that add a playful sense of tactility, and of course the blue that appears even on accessories like the season’s Bridle bag. The layering is endless with these pieces—while the utilitarian roots remain honoured, the styling possibilities feel refreshing and new.

The campaign titled The Unexpected Encounters features a star-studded cast including Twice’s Nayeon, Seungmin of Stray Kids, Bright Vachirawit, Son Sukku, Jung Eunchae and Asami Mizukawa. Shot across London and Seoul, it revolves around the romance of chance connections while spotlighting the flexibility and style of Burberry’s outerwear. The visuals of the film also perfectly captures a refreshed direction for the brand through the familiar codes presented in new forms.

In the latest edition of Vogue 10, Vogue Singapore has collaborated with Burberry to curate an edit of must-have ready-to-wear pieces and accessories to cop from the British brand’s collection. 1 / 10
Cashmere Belmont trench cape, $5,900

2 / 10
Check wool blend midi kilt, $3,150
“It’s a longer version of the tartan skirt with leather detailing, and it also has a nice swing to it which adds movement,” muses Lim.
Styling tip: “Pair it with a simple black tank top ruched at the side for an asymmetrical touch—a slightly punk yet easy look that works perfectly for the weather.”

3 / 10
Cropped check cotton shirt, $1,150
“A cute, casual way to wear checks is with this cropped T-shirt—a great way to incorporate the signature codes while keeping it suitable for today’s style and the weather,” remarks Lim.
Styling tip: “Match this with a skirt and boots to complete the outfit and give it a playful vibe.”

4 / 10
Corduroy overshirt, $2,690
“Corduroy is a great texture to work with. The monotone dark colour makes it easy to throw over any outfit and pull the whole look together—a tactile update to the overall look,” shares Lim.
Styling tip: “Throw this over a check-on-check outfit to mute it down slightly and create balance, then finish with shoes in a matching shade to tie everything together.”

5 / 10
Check wool blend kilt dress, $3,750
“This is something you can even wear to the office. It feels a little rebellious but at the same time this dress has all these beautiful detailing, like the checks being separated into pleats and regathered at the sides,” remarks Lim.
Styling tip: “Layer it with a dark puffer coat, perfect for travelling, and add a short simple necklace akin to a choker to accessorise.”

6 / 10
Check cameo low pumps, $1,350
“This pair is perfect for a classic touch of the checks. Use it as low heels to elevate your casual look—a subtle way to wear the checks,” shares Lim.
Styling tip: “Pair it with a casual ensemble like jeans and a cropped tropical gabardine trench to complete the look.”

7 / 10
Cropped tropical gabardine trench jacket, $3,190

8 / 10
Bridle clutch, $3,150
The Bridle clutch is also something that Daniel Lee introduced—a cute silhouette, and what I love about it is the detailing that nods to its equestrian roots,” shares Lim.
Styling tip: “Wear it with a casual look to refine the outfit—a fun yet practical way to carry your essentials.”

9 / 10
Gradient check cashmere scarf, $990
“Another signature is the check scarf—great for throwing over your shoulders to accessorise, and it even adds a layer of warmth in case of chilly weather,” muses Lim.
Styling tip: “A great way to wear it is to drape the scarf over your shoulders and use the epaulettes to secure it in place, so it retains its shape and doesn’t shift while you’re on the go.”

10 / 10
Gabardine trench mini skirt, $2,090
“A shorter version of the gabardine skirt, it still has that swish but is perfect for those who prefer a shorter, more casual option. The monotone colours are also really easy to work with and pair with different pieces,” remarks Lim.
Styling tip: “Pair it with a check top to tone down the look, and boots to give it a dressier, edgier feel.”
