It can be argued that the myriad of advancements in technology is a double-edged sword. With heightened convenience and efficacy comes job displacements brought about by the advent of A.I. tech; ethical concerns surrounding online privacy; and even a dehumanisation of certain services and interactions. And while the relationship between tech and the beauty realm proves to be just as layered and complex, there is something to be said about the innovations, devices, treatments, and that have emerged within the realm as of late. From full-body muscle relaxation utilising specific colour waves to a proionic-centered facial, it is safe to say that 2024 is brimming with promise when it comes to full-body massages, facial treatments, and the like. Bearing this in mind, Vogue Singapore‘s editorial team ventured out into the beauty scene to review the best procedures designed to address a variety of concerns.
This month, we look to Neau, a newly-opened wellness enclave in Joo Chiat for a bespoke facial comprising cutting-edge new tech; Suchehwa by Ted for their comprehensive new head spa; and Away Spa for their take on a non-invasive face lift. Whether you’re dealing with sensitive, sagging, or dry skin, or simply craving a well-deserved sensorial pampering session for the day, peruse the best beauty treatments and more to try in Singapore, as recommended by Vogue Singapore’s beauty desk.

Neau's Revival MIT Facial, $338 for 90 minutes
Who it’s catered for: This fully-customisable treatment is meticulously crafted to bolster your complexion’s natural function—perfect for folks looking to up their skin barrier health and achieve optimal radiance.
Vogue’s review: A sense of warmth, ease, and restfulness is made immediately apparent upon entering through the double doors of Neau, Joo Chiat’s latest wellness enclave. Walls and fixtures comprise soft, rounded curves meant to invoke the sensation of being cocooned in gentle waves, a tranquility that continues in each facial cabin after a personal skin analysis detailing areas of concern and improvement. Under my therapist’s skilled hands, a one-of-a-kind serum concoction is conjured up utilising WishPro+ capsules—the world’s first serum-infused capsule treatment.
My therapist kicks things off by enveloping my visage in gentle peel exfoliator that is amalgamated with 95% sweet almond oil. This is followed by a skin vacuum that helps rid my mien of dirt, clogs, and impurities, topped off with a collagen serum. To end things off: a hydrating gel mask, as well as a session at their tea bar that comes equipped with a comprehensive range of organic wellness teas specially curated and blended by a family of master tea blenders from Germany.

Chez Vous' Advanced Liquid Hair Treatment, $255 for 120 minutes
Who it’s catered for: For anyone who needs a total reset on their dry, damaged strands.
Vogue’s review: It’s not often you’re met with a hair treatment that gleans instant results but with Chez Vous’ Liquid Hair Treatment, it’s almost certain that you’ll emerge with your tresses visibly refreshed and repaired from within. At its core, the treatment harnesses cutting-edge nano technology to reconnect broken hair bonds and give it a boost of intense hydration to boost elasticity and strength overall.
After a simple cleanse and purify, a custom amino acid blend is applied to kickstart the deep repair process. A waiting period that allows the serum to penetrate the hair bonds is to be expected—after which heat would be applied to seal in the actives. As this latter undertaking might come with a bit of a sting for the eyes, as long as you close them you should be safe from the wafting gases that are being released in the process. Not to fret, however, for not one bit of this treatment actually utilises chemicals that are harmful to the hair in the long run. In fact, the results it yields are in its name: liquid healthy hair that feels luxurious to the touch post-treatment. Especially when a combination of biomimetic silk, nano-sized hyaluronic acids and natural oils mix to boost hydration, combat frizz and enhance smoothness all throughout your tresses. Pro-tip for those who are planning on dyeing their hair? Opt for the Advanced treatment programme, which will still grant you the desired effects for at least the next four to six weeks.

Suchehwa By Ted's Korean Head Spa, $350 for 120 minutes
Who it’s catered for: For any individuals with pre-existing hair and scalp concerns.
Vogue’s review: Leave it to Korean hair salon Suchehwa by Ted to refresh its Korean Head Spa, which is now a longer, in-depth session. Beyond the pampering and relaxation this treatment will no doubt provide, the spa also seeks to improve scalp and hair health for the individual. Addressing a spectrum of concerns like itchiness, sensitivity and oiliness, the head spa will first start with an in-depth scalp analysis and consultation with the therapist.
Upon the scan, I found out some problem areas were drier than others, which led to hair fall. I was also advised to switch up my hair parting from time to time—preferably in a zig-zag formation, just so that the pressure of parting would not be applied on the same area. A soothing mask was then applied, to help exfoliate alongside a relaxing scalp massage. With deep strokes, this step preps the scalp to better absorb the nutrients as well as to promote circulation to the hair follicles.
Next up, the deep cleanse. Dubbed the Iotopheresis Deep Cleanse & Massage, it flexes the salon’s dedication to hair science and technology, by applying mild electric currents to thoroughly cleanse the scalp and remove dirt and product buildup.
A quick stride to the wash will have you lulled into a dream state. As a warm nano mist emanates through the scalp area alongside a waterfall bath, a hand massage also takes place. To finish the treatment off, another head massage—specifically a heated galvanic one—further boosts circulation and stimulates the production of fibroblasts. The result of this indulgent treatment? Healthy, bouncy hair that never felt stronger. However the main verdict remains: you don’t actually need to have a problematic scalp to treat yourself to this head spa.
