Tonight, model Taylor Hill married venture capitalist Daniel Fryer in Winter Park, Colorado. “I just kind of wanted the whole thing to feel really relaxed because we’re in my hometown,” Taylor explains. “I wanted this element of feeling like you were constantly at somebody’s home.”
Taylor and Daniel got engaged in June of 2021, when Daniel proposed with a three-stone emerald cut diamond engagement ring while the couple was on vacation at the San Pietro Hotel in Italy. The model announced the news to her 23 million followers on Instagram with a carousel of imagery and a caption that read: “My best friend, my soulmate, I’ll love you always.”
After the engagement—but before the bride made the trip home to get married—Vogue caught up with Taylor for her final wedding dress fitting in Manhattan. “This is [actually] the first wedding dress that Etro has ever made!” Taylor shares. “Marco [de Vincenzo] is an amazing designer and I love where he is taking the brand, creatively.”

The model has been working with Etro for nearly a decade, so when she began thinking about who she wanted to make her wedding dress, it just made sense. “When they sent me the sketches of it, I was like, ‘It’s like you’re in my head,’” she remembers. “My favourite part of the dress is probably the top and the sleeves. It gives it the element of romance that I was looking for.”
To ensure that she felt comfortable and like her “feet were connected to the earth” on her wedding day, Taylor opted to forgo shoes and instead go barefoot. Still, all eyes were on the dress. “It makes me feel special,” the bride adds. “I don’t want to take it off! I’m so excited [to wear this dress at my fitting] because the day we’ve been waiting so long for is coming,” Taylor reveals. “Danny is my best friend. I’m just so looking forward to making this commitment to each other and declaring to each other that we’ll be best friends forever. For me, that’s what this day really means. We’ll be partners in crime forever.”
