As the year comes to a close, we inevitably look back on all that has happened. We reflect on the memories made and lessons learnt as well as the relationships we have forged along the way. Here at Vogue Singapore, 2023—which also marks our third year—has been one to remember.
We had the mega charming Suzi de Givenchy ushering in the new year as our January issue cover star, followed by a triad of never-seen-before AI covers. This was followed by the launch of Vogue Man as well as a first-of-its kind reactive thermal cover for our September issue. Finishing the year strong was Vogue Singapore’s landmark three-day event extravaganza Next In Vogue, a showcase of regional innovation and creativity in commemoration of our three-year anniversary. It’s no surprise then that our December issue—themed ‘Carouse’—is an unabashed celebration of joie de vivre.
In line with all the year-end festivities, this issue is one filled with glitz and glamour. Model and TikTok sensation Raelynn Bumgardner graces the cover against the buzzy streets of downtown Los Angeles. Captured by photographer Adam Franzino, neon signs light the way as Bumgardner displays her unabashed swagger and attitude, all while donning the latest offerings from the Chanel cruise 2024 collection.
As you make your way through the book, peruse beauty and jewellery gift guides filled with a curation of delectable offerings for the gifting season, and recount the notable fashion milestones that were worth highlighting this year through an engaging retrospective. Finally, delve into a conversation with the legendary Hong-Kong actor Tony Leung, who speaks on his career that has spanned across several era-defining films.
With the new year right around the corner, there is palpable anticipation and hope in the air. The turning of the calendar represents a fresh chapter, a blank canvas providing opportunities to set new goals and face new challenges. Regardless what is to come, Vogue Singapore will be along for the ride, continuously striving for storytelling excellence whilst spotlighting all emerging talents within Southeast Asia.
