This September, there’s a hip new lifestyle hotel in town. Australia and New Zealand’s leading hospitality group, QT Hotels & Resorts, has just unveiled its first QT property in Asia. With a portfolio of 10 properties across cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington, the QT brand has become known for a creatively-charged guest experience that combines local influences with its signature quirk. QT Singapore marks the brand’s first foray into Asia, heralding its international expansion beyond Australia and New Zealand.
In Singapore, QT is primed to set to reinvigorate the local hospitality scene, working closely with local and international artists and designers to present a contemporary Singaporean take on culture, lifestyle and fashion. From interiors and decor to food and beverage concepts, QT Singapore is the new multi-faceted destination not just for international travellers to relish in but also for local guests to discover.

Front-of-house staff are usually the first points of contact for hotel guests. Central to QT’s service philosophy, its front-of-house staff, also mischievously called Directors of Chaos, seamlessly anticipate needs, define guest experiences, and take each stay to the next level.
In Singapore, Directors of Chaos are dressed in a bespoke ensemble handcrafted by local designer Hu Ruixian of Studio HHFZ—known for her modern interpretations of the traditional Chinese dress—with silhouettes adapted for daily wear. Imbued with a fashionable twist, the design takes inspiration from Singapore’s multicultural traditional outfits and prominently features Singapore’s National Flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim.
With creative design at the core of its DNA, QT has chosen to partner with celebrated Australian interior designer Nic Graham to bring its aesthetic to life in a restored century-old Neoclassical heritage building in the heart of Singapore. Graham’s touch is unmistakable. The hotel’s design narrative demonstrates playful sophistication that contrasts wonderfully in a heritage setting, all while retaining a deep sense of place.
Pops of colour and bold patterns—a nod to Singapore’s vibrant culture landscape—amidst carefully-curated furniture, lighting, greenery and detailing such as woven rattan and black framing flow seamlessly together to deliver the contemporary, luxurious touch we’ve come to associate with a QT hotel.

QT Singapore’s 134 rooms and suites are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and amenities like wireless Bose speakers and iPad-controlled room functionality, essential in making every stay feel like a home away from home for today’s discerning jet-setters. Meanwhile, the hotel’s public spaces and guest touch points feature stylish, evocative prints by Vietnamese artist Jill Tran, who had lived and worked in Singapore for a decade before recently moving to the UK.
When it comes to the hotel’s two food and beverage concepts, it’s safe to say QT Singapore has pulled out all the stops. Guests can look forward to Cygnet, a buzzing Manhattan-style steakhouse helmed by award-winning chef and restaurateur Sean Connolly.

Yorkshire-born Connolly will bring his trademark French flair to showcase premium ingredients from around the world, including steaks like Tajima Japanese Wagyu Rump and Australian Grass Fed Riverine Rib Eye, served with a side of his signature roast potatoes cooked in duck fat. Cygnet’s bespoke cocktail menu, taking cue from New York’s vibrant energy, comes with an elegantly theatrical tableside service. Wine connoisseurs also have reason to rejoice as the restaurant boasts over 30 wines by the glass from top regions.
In addition to Cygnet, QT Singapore will have its own Rooftop at QT, reminiscent of the iconic ones in Melbourne and Perth. Rooftop at QT’s latest incarnation takes the form of a sleek rooftop bar set against the backdrop of Singapore’s iconic skyline, perfect for enjoying sundowners in style.

Hotel guests looking for an urban escape can do so over Mexican-inspired bites and refreshing cocktails crafted with local ingredients—complete with a dip in the pool for those who are up for it. And they should be, especially in this sweltering weather.
Surprises aren’t just found in new places—there’s more than meets the eye at this historic site in the heart of the CBD where heritage meets unbridled luxury with a touch of whimsical fancy. Whether you’re in Singapore for business or pleasure, for the first or umpteenth time, let QT Singapore curate a future stay that invites you to slip into something more magical.
