For generations, Moët & Chandon has been the preferred champagne for birthday toasts, creating unique and memorable moments by joining the special days of royalty and cultural icons across music, sports and cinema. The luxury nectar has graced many an exuberant celebration over the decades, from legendary actor Paul Newman’s 40th birthday celebration in 1965 and actress Scarlett Johansson’s 30th birthday soiree in 2014 with her twin brother Hunter to tennis champ Roger Federer’s annual birthday parties at home with family and friends.
So, when the Maison wanted to bring birthdays even more to the centre stage, it turned to Pharrell Williams, an ambassador for happiness, the dapper crooner behind the viral hit song ‘Happy’ and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director since 2023.
The collaboration, driven by a shared belief in collective spirit, optimism and human connection, reflects the focus of both Moët & Chandon and Williams on creating experiences that bring people together through celebrations. “The best part about birthdays are the people who want to celebrate it with you,” he says. “When I was old enough to toast with champagne for the first time, Moët & Chandon was my point of reference. I suppose it’s just a tradition, it’s the ritual.”

To imagine a distinctive design, Williams and Moët & Chandon delved into the House’s archives and discovered a unique twist—the iconic tie motif on Moët & Chandon bottles began life as a bow in 1889. The bow is now at the centre of the new Limited Edition Collection, evoking the spirit of togetherness, generosity, joy and surprise.
In this collectible release, there are two designs to look out for. The Limited Edition applies to the Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial and Nectar Impérial Rosé in the regular 750ml size. The boxes and bottle necks of the Brut Impérial are dressed in Gold, Midnight Blue and Deep Red, while the Nectar Impérial Rosé is styled in White. The bottle’s red royal seal is transformed into a pearled PW monogram, while Williams’s signature white dotted lettering appears on the box and bottle, resembling pearls.
Fashion lovers will want to get their hands on The Bow Creation, which applies to the 1.5-litre magnums of Brut Impérial in Midnight Blue and Nectar Impérial Rosé in White. For these, Williams worked with Parisian embroidery studio Atelier Baqué Molinié to craft an oversized fabric bow adorned with pearled beads, which is detachable from the bottle to be worn as a brooch.
The Moët & Chandon Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection is available in Singapore at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove and selected FairPrice Finest stores in April, and at outlets such as Zouk, High House and Have Fun from May.
