The past year has been a ride for Nigo. Appointed the new creative director of Kenzo in September last year, the Japanese designer had quickly catapulted the maison to new heights with his debut collection in February. Much like his last show, the Kenzo spring/summer 2023 show will be co-ed, starring youthful, versatile designs suitable for either gender.
While finer details of his new collection are still being kept under wraps, you can expect to find the designer’s signature street style touch woven into the spring/summer 2023 collection. Rising to fame as the founder of the street style labels A Bathing Ape, Billionaire Boys Club and more, Nigo had since taken the reins at Kenzo, launching a fall/winter 2022 collection that featured co-ords printed with poppies and boke, a Japanese flower that blooms in February. And with hip-hop and fashion royalty, Ye, Pharrell Williams and Tyler, the Creator, as fans, Nigo’s next collection will be one to watch.
