Karina, lead singer of Korean girl group Aespa, stepped out onto the 2026 Met Gala red carpet in custom Prada. The white satin dress and black cape feature an array of details from both the brand’s and Karina’s history, including embroidery taken from spring 2017 and sleeves from spring 2007, the latter of which took its own inspiration from Miuccia Prada’s cape. The tablier neckline is inspired by a Korean hanbok, a traditional style of dress that dates back to the ancient Three Kingdoms period.

While this year marks Karina’s official debut at the Met Gala, the singer has a long-standing relationship with the Italian house. She was officially appointed an ambassador in 2024 and has become a frequent figure across the international fashion weeks. While her day-to-day style remains sporty and relaxed, her first Met Gala look is more in line with the polished Fashion Week signature she has begun to carve out.
