A pair of diamanté barrettes secured and adorned the style on each side, tiny curled tendrils left loose to further frame her face. Though high on the drama scale, the texture communicated an air of softness echoed by a make-up palette of peaches, deftly countered by a power brow and pull of black liner. Add an Alexander McQueen gown built of sheer swaths and silver sequins, and the message is clear: Gerber’s own Gilded Age is happening right now.
