Did anyone notice Olivia Rodrigo’s extended, razor sharp onyx eyeliner, paired with iridescent lavender eyeshadow? Or were you lost in BTS’ V’s smouldering light hazel eyes as well? Not to mention the power of that single tendrill that brushed his forehead ever so precisely.
The music world’s latest and greatest descended upon the MGM Grand Garden Area for the 2022 Grammys last night, and while their immense talent and scene-stealing outfits took centre stage, beauty looks too, made significant impact. Think kaleidoscopic variations of glamorous winged liner seen on the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Lady Gaga, Paris Hilton and Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner; 90s’ spiked bun perfection sported by the likes of Doja Cat and Billie Eilish; unapologetically high gloss lips across countless pouts; and cascading locks a la Donatella Versace and Cher, as seen on Chloe Bailey, Dua Lipa and H.E.R’s waterfall of spirals.
Just like V, the guys in attendance put their best faces forward by pairing spiffy suit silhouettes with unexpected hair or make-up accents, like Lil Nas X’s cyan eyeshadow just in the inner corners of his eyes for that extra pop. And as you would imagine, BTS served Army with non-stop content and an all-black outfit change that came crowned by radiant complexions, darkened brows and irresistible slicked back tresses.
