Since Maximillian Davis took the reins of the storied house last season, having succeeded American shoe designer Paul Andrew as creative director, a new chapter for Ferragamo had began. Debuting a younger, fresher vision—with 27-year-old Davis running the show—the brand first shed ‘Salvatore’ from its name, as if to signify a fresh snip in one’s renewal.
The spring/summer 2023 runway saw sexy proportions and creative manipulations of fabrics. With dyed drape dresses slinked to show off all the right curves, we got a brief indication to where Davis would be steering the house—a place where Pantone red gloriously ruled as a signature throughout the collection. No hesitations, no restraint, just sirens blazing.
On Ferragamo’s Instagram, nine sensual pictorials have since been uploaded—to tease its fall/winter 2023 show.
