Since the tail end of 2024, the land of Oz has been ruling our screens. Such was the phenomenon of Wicked, the Jon M. Chu-led film adaptation of one of the most iconic musicals of our time, which tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Elphaba and Glinda, before they come to be known as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. From ruling the box office and earning ten Oscar nominations to a soundtrack that topped major music charts worldwide, it’s safe to say the film made a massive cultural impact. Equally as iconic was the witchy duo, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, whose method dressing ways stood out as a major highlight of the first film, to such an extent that green and pink literally became the order of the day. And now, with the return of part two Wicked: For Good this year, the obsession with the cast’s red carpet fashion is back in full force.
The film’s five-city press tour is officially in full swing, and with it, a masterclass in fashion that has us spellbound with the magic of Oz. This time around, the leading ladies have been shutting down the carpet with their high-octane looks. Whether it’s Grande’s fiery pink archival Givenchy number at the Paris premiere or Erivo’s sultry black Prada ensemble at the premiere in London, best believe every look so far is a serve. And just last night, Singapore was treated to its own slice of magic as these Ozians brought their A-game to our island city.
Below, cast your gaze upon all the extravagant fashion moments from the Wicked: For Good press tour.
