Jacquemus x Nike collaboration drops on 28 June
A move three years in the making, the highly-anticipated Jacquemus x Nike collection is set to hit the stores on 28 June. With 15 pieces in its expected line-up, the collection is looking to be a strong display of the French maison’s pillars of sensuality and minimality, married with Nike’s technical know-how when it comes to creating performance apparel for the gym and beyond. “For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way,” muses Simon Porte Jacquemus on the joint venture. Last week, the luxury house teased the Nike Humara earthy-toned shoe styles that will launch alongside a series of skin-baring dresses, tennis skirts and seamless bike-shorts.

CY-B3LLA is Bella Hadid’s foray into NFTs
Luxury houses are not the only ones moving into the metaverse. The biggest It-girls of the decade are following suit and first on the list is none other than fashion’s muse and supermodel Bella Hadid. In collaboration with metaverse site reBASE, Hadid is releasing CY-B3LLA: a range of 11,111 exclusive NFT artworks and collectibles of herself, or renditions of herself. Stemming from a prevailing interest in the gaming world and digital avatars, the model had been fascinated with the metaverse and was excited to create art out of her own 3D scan. “When the NFT craze came, I was genuinely curious about what that community looked like. It went from gaming—me wanting to create this cool avatar and be in that universe and connect with people—to this.” Hadid sums up. Apart from the specific asset and digital certificate of authenticity, the purchase of the model’s NFT might eventually land you in both online and offline meet-up opportunities with Hadid herself.

Rhode suing Hailey Bieber for Rhode
Hailey Rhode Bieber is being sued for her highly-anticipated skincare label release: Rhode. The lawsuit directed at Bieber’s Rhode, comes from the LA fashion label with the same brand name, Rhode. The owners of the latter, Purna Khatau and Phoebe Vickers, explained how their move was necessary to protect their business from market confusion. In a public statement on Instagram, they mentioned that whilst they admire the supermodel’s entrepreneurship, “Hailey could choose any brand for her skin-care line. We have only the brand name “Rhode” that we’ve built.”. The case is pushing for the court to protect their trademark and block the continued use of ‘Rhode’ as the name of the skincare line.
