Chanel has announced their intentions to restricts sales to overseas Russians in Europe
This includes clothes, perfumes, bags and more—where the luxury house has decreed to halt sales to Russian customers abroad if they attempt to bring the products back home. Chanel then further elaborated that the limitation was put in place as a form of compliance to the trade sanctions imposed on Russia by the European Union, Switzerland and others in reaction to the Ukraine invasion. “We have rolled out a process to ask clients for whom we do not know the main residency to confirm that the items they are purchasing will not be used in Russia,” they wrote in a press statement. There has been no further explanation as to what the process entails.
