Who knew the wait would be this gratifying? Indeed, if you’re anything like us, you’re probably already well-acquainted with today’s topic of discussion: the fourth season of Emily in Paris. It’s been roughly over a year and a half since we were met with Season 3—and there’s nothing like having our favourite bit of frivolous television back on screen. As of this week, the first part of Season 4 is officially with us, and that means five full episodes of watching Emily Cooper’s adventures in the City of Light. And amid establishing her indispensability at Agence Grateau and swooning over a cornucopia of men, there’s no mistaking that new-season-Emily is finally feeling like she belongs in the city. And she has a spectacular outing of outfits and beauty moments to thank for that.
Something that has persisted since day one? Emily’s love for colour and maximalism. Yet with Season 4, her sartorial execution leans tasteful—with more fantabulous pantsuits and deliciously grand moments for a bout of couture (yes, that Harris Reed gown deserves honourable mention). But to really note how she’s evolved, it’ll require a proper zoom in on her hair and make-up deliveries this time around.
Swapping out berets and scarves for statement hair accessories and flouncy retro hairdos, our protagonist is finally shedding away her American-in-Paris agenda and finding joy in paring it back when it’s needed. Should she need that definitive glow up for a boost of confidence, she’s not opposed to a slicked back look and bold red lip. But she’s not the only one with a renewed sense of self. Camille—who’s starting off Season 4 with motherhood on the agenda—certainly brims anew with that pregnancy glow. Whilst Mindy’s stage looks continue to evolve; her magnifique hairdos testament to that alone.
Below, a joyride through all the fabulous hair and make-up moments gleaned from Emily in Paris Season 4 so far, with more to come.

Slick it back
Party girl glamour? Sylvie certainly approves. A chic and bold move by Emily, she puts the focus on her serpent-swashed lids and crimson pout by pulling her mane back into a wet, slicked look.

Lit from within
Off furniture-hunting for her new apartment, Camille is a vision of radiance—one which we might imagine to be due to her baby-induced serotonin levels. Her luminous skin, slightly mussed updo and brightened inner corners are certainly adding to the appeal of this look.

Glitter fantasies
Less is more, and Mindy encapsulates this notion best in her eye make-up execution for the masquerade ball. Straying away from anything too OTT, she instead relies on a controlled application of gem embellishments along her upper lids for that shine.

The mask comes off
Oh, the masquerade ball. Emily teems with newfound confidence and it shows in her perfectly crimped retro bob, those gem-encrusted peepers and that bonafide glow—a surefire sign of what’s to come. IYKYK.

That French girl next door
Camille has always been that girl. And it shows in this particular moment just outside Gabriel’s apartment, where the Parisian at heart is casually serving up some kohl-rimmed eyes and jet-straight tresses in the corridor.

That '70s girl
Remember those gorgeous, gorgeous curls? Season 4 Emily seems to finding all the ways possible to have fun with them, including this headband moment accompanied by a flouncy ’70s style blowout.

Crowning glory
The modern day show of royalty? A ponytail accessory. Mindy’s certainly got a stash of those in her vanity drawers, but this metallic coil that separates her high ponytail into flawlessly-bouncy curls is one we’ll be wanting to try soon.

J'adore, Camille
What’s not to love? From her perfectly-curled mane, those inky peepers and beautifully-lined scarlet lip, Camille proves why she’s always been worthy of our special attention since day one.

Romantic frills
Emily’s a coquette girlie too. Just like the rest of us have been inclined to do, the loved-up protagonist wears a statement lace ribbon to secure her half updo—subtly matching the rest of her monochromatic outfit.
