Eco Fashion Weekend 2025 took place from April 25 to 27, celebrating Southeast Asia’s leading fashion changemakers. The three-day event was a dynamic blend of meaningful conversations, a hands-on workshop, and a stunning showcase, all centred on sustainability and conscious fashion.
The weekend kicked off with a panel discussion that brought together industry leaders to delve into the future of sustainable fashion. The conversation touched on the complex intersections of environmental responsibility, cultural heritage, and innovation. It set the tone for the rest of the weekend, where attendees were invited to explore deeper questions around the role conscious fashion plays in shaping our world.

Saturday brought the Eco Fashion Awards and Fashion Showcase, which took place at Ida’s Bar & Event Space. The evening highlighted 13 conscious brands and recognised individuals and brands making an impact through eight award categories. Co-hosted by Anna Shatilova and Jacqui Hocking, the night opened with a beautiful acapella performance by Jilian Summers. As Anna Shatilova noted, “Eco Fashion Weekend is not just about what we wear; it’s about how we live, lead, and what we choose to purchase to create a better future together.”
On Sunday, the weekend wrapped up with the Mindful Stitching workshop, a hands-on experience designed to foster a love for conscious fashion through slow, meditative stitching. Participants were encouraged to connect with the art of creating, reflecting on the materials and practices that make fashion both meaningful and sustainable.
Throughout the weekend, the theme Safe Place, Safe Space resonated deeply. “The support from the public in our inaugural year was both encouraging and unexpected. This year, we are immensely grateful to our venue and media partners—as well as the public—for their continued support. Thanks to them, the weekend has grown significantly, providing an even stronger platform for the brands and individuals advocating for meaningful change in the fashion industry.” shared Anisa Johnny, Lead Volunteer & Creative Director. It underscored fashion’s potential to promote inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and collective empowerment, offering a glimpse into the future of fashion where sustainability and human connection take centre stage.
