J’adore, Dior! Such was the mood that encapsulated our summer this year—as one designer’s debut stayed in our collective consciousness. It was a sublime day in Paris, when Jonathan Anderson showed his very first men’s collection for the French maison. He had, after all, everything to prove—after an announcement that confirmed he would be Dior’s first sole creative director to helm the house’s men’s, women’s and haute couture; the first to do so since Christian Dior himself.
In a rousing show space, the first model stepped out in a bar jacket paired with a ballooning pair of cargo shorts. Anderson opened the magic box—it was a first look at what he planned to do with the storied house. A blossoming romance of 18th century French menswear, one can only imagine how a growing boy might think about putting together an outfit from clothes of that era. Then there was the intimacy of seeing the fabrics in such close detail, from an Irish Donegal tweed to beautiful moiré silks. There was plenty of play too, amid a signalling of what’s in and what’s to come; his popped collars and ties of every sort instantly becoming a hit with the sartorial crowd. It was, all in all, a formidable debut.
Naturally, with the house set to show its women’s spring/summer 2026 show today, the anticipation has arrived at its zenith. Over the past few days, Dior and Anderson himself, have been teasing parts of the show; think fittings with house muse (and expected front row guest) Jisoo, beautiful pairs of angular heels in gorgeous washes of colour and a porcelain plate invitation (with walnuts adorned on them). Plenty of stars, from longstanding house familiars such as Jimin, Anya Taylor-Joy and Jenna Ortega, as well as newcomers Thai stars Ling Ling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat, are expected to attend.

The excitement brews, but all that’s left is to see what shape Anderson’s vision for womenswear might take. Be one of the first to watch the Dior spring/summer 2026 show and tune into the livestream at 9PM SGT on 1 October.
