The verdict is in: the new Coach doesn’t take itself too seriously, while keeping in check with life’s simplest moments. Since its new global brand position, which reads ‘expressive luxury‘, creative director Stuart Vevers has been decking out new signatures to the delight of its younger set of consumers. First, by way of new global ambassador Lil Nas X and its first Korean ambassador, young actor Yoon Chan Young. Secondly, allowing its garments to speak for itself—where eclectic plaid join Western-influenced silhouettes—alongside the successful revival of the Tabby bag.
For fall/winter 2023, we expect no less. Judging from its latest show teaser on Instagram, it points to a circle of cool kids and their reckless adventures—surrounding the exuberant nature of sound as the caption reads: “What happens when downtown kids go uptown? First, they take over the aux..”. With a silver of music booming in the background, the presence of soft rock hints at grunge-inspired style pairings—and by that, we’re counting on plenty of leathers.
Tune in live to the Coach fall/winter 2023 show from New York, on 14 February, at 3.00am Singapore time.
