Binge-watched everything on TV? Coach has the answer. For autumn/winter 2021, Stuart Vevers enlisted Juergen Teller and various members of the brand’s family—including Jennifer Lopez, Binx Walton, Bob the Drag Queen, Megan Thee Stallion and Paloma Elsesser—to showcase his latest collection via Coach TV. With tunes by Blondie and a series of entertaining vignettes, Vevers explores the intersectionality between fashion and pop culture to fabulous effect.
The clothes are equally enthralling. In the second instalment of Vevers’s Coach Forever initiative, which promotes community, responsibility and mixed-season wardrobing, the designer homes in on creature comforts. Layered and loose silhouettes befitting our current lifestyle are married with plush fabrics, including oversized shearling coats and Schott NYC leather jackets that are destined to become the Jean-Michel Basquiat trench coat of next season.

“I think fabrics matter even if it’s a T-shirt,” Walton tells British Vogue of the attention to detail that makes Coach’s latest edit true forever staples. “[I look for] things that promote comfort and movement, and feel good against the skin.” Although the US model’s own list of creature comforts—sweaters and thick hair ties—is modest, she loves her Coach campaign look because of the knitted socks and sandals styling. “The older I get, the more excited I am about a good sock,” Walton enthuses. “Toes are vulnerable and deserve a good home. Flat sandals and socks are a favourite of mine, if the weather permits.”
