When Chanel first dropped the Chanel Factory 5 collection in Singapore on 15 July, it was, as expected, met with great enthusiasm. So much enthusiasm, in fact, that it sold out in a flash. Well, if you missed your chance the first time around, here’s some good news for all the beauty junkies in need of a pick-me-up now that we’re back to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).
To commemorate the launch of the new Chanel Fragrance and Beauty E-shop on 28 July 2021, the brand is releasing a limited quantity of the collection online. The online pop-up store will contain over 200 products from its fragrance, skincare and makeup range from its current selection, alongside limited online exclusives. And, new products will continue to be added to its offerings over time. The cherry on top of the cake? Complimentary delivery for orders above $100 to local addresses, with a selection of product samples accompanying each order, and a personalised gift note.
The first drop of limited online exclusives is the return of Chanel Factory 5, part of the ongoing celebrations as N° 5 marks one hundred years. With the iconic scent as the sole ingredient, 17 limited-edition products inspired by everyday objects were brought to life.
“There can be as much value in products that we use regularly as in products that we use for very special occasions. It’s all about the experience these products give you,” says Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s Head of Global Creative Resources Fragrance and Beauty. Top picks include bath tablets in a tea tin and body lotion in a baggie—by using everyday objects in this collection, N°5 demonstrates rather profoundly, that luxury is to be found in the experience we have of things.
