Look alive, fashion darlings. Over the past week, a new fashion week cycle kicked off—that of the fall/winter 2026 season. One of the very first to unfold at New York Fashion Week was Marc Jacobs, who presented his collection off calendar. Staged at the historic Park Avenue Armory, the lineup featured a playful yet refined take on classic tailoring, featuring prim skirts with an off-kilter waist, coats worn backwards, and plenty pops of colour. There were many other highlights scattered throughout the rest of the week: think Americana symbolism at Coach, the debut of Rachel Scott at Proenza Schouler, and the timeless elegance of Ralph Lauren’s show, guided by the renegade spirit of women.
However, the shows would not have been complete without the star-studded audience that came with them. Besides, there’s a reason we always find ourselves on the edge of our seats for the week-long run in the Big Apple. Driven by her supermodel prowess, Christy Turlington’s walk on the Michael Kors runway, celebrating the eponymous label’s 45th anniversary, was no doubt a nostalgic one considering she fronted the brand’s first-ever ad campaign. It only made sense that its front row was equally jazzed up with several celebrity faces who proved the brand’s loyal following. Pulling up to the scene were the likes of Dakota Fanning, Olivia Jade, Alex Consani, and house ambassador Suki Waterhouse. Just as scene-stealing was the A-list guest list at Ralph Lauren with Anne Hathaway, Lana Del Ray and Kim Do-yeon, whilst Calvin Klein called upon fashion’s It-girls Jennie Kim and Dakota Johnson.
