Paris is the whole dream. As far as fashion week circuits go, there’s a reason we always find ourselves on the edge of our seats for the week-long run in the City of Light. Beyond being the most stacked runway roster on the list, it’s also consistently home to a number of high-octane affairs that capitalise on the prevalent buzz of PFW.
This fall/winter 2025 season also heralded a new era of creation; some designers were showing their hand for the first time since their appointment, whilst others were cementing their vision with their sophomore collections. The most lauded of the lot? Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford; where silhouettes seduced and sizzled in the hands of a tailoring master—who came with broad strokes of leather, suits for men and delicious cutaway dresses in astonishing colour. Meanwhile, Sarah Burton took her first bold step with Givenchy—with a runway that focused on the quiet strength of her atelier background. On the flipside, passionate, feverish fervour was served up at the likes of Valentino and McQueen. Whilst the former went full anarchy with its playful scarlet-washed set of a public toilet, the latter saw Seán McGirr showcase his most self-assured collection yet: adorning dandyism with some Victorian gothic flair.
So for anyone asking? Paris was a hit, as always. And in a similar vein, the celebrity clientele of each brand continues to take the cake in generating buzz out on the streets. New fashion favourites are being crowned, with Doechii and Chappell Roan both making their PFW debuts at the shows this season. The latter famously made her dramatic entrance at Valentino, where she was joined by house favourite Freen Sarocha and The White Lotus’s Parker Posey. Earlier in the week at Givenchy, it was a star-studded front row of Vanessa Kirby, Zhang Ruonan, Raye and Off Jumpol. But of course, Louis Vuitton came raining down with the whole fleet, from house muse Lisa and Emma Stone to Saoirse Ronan and South Korean A-lister Jun Ji-hyun.
