Wouldn’t it be a delight to take a trip to a zoo where the animals, bursting with life, were actually high jewellery? That’s the playful little proposition that French jeweller Cartier is making in Singapore, with the opening of its Into The Wild experience this October at Rochester Park. The experiential activation is open to the public and blows the doors open (in a sense—the ‘wilds’, after all, are a creative flight of fancy) to the house’s magnificent universe of fauna creations.
Into The Wild’s location in Rochester Park is well chosen, fittingly lush with greenery and tranquil enough to feel like an escape. Cartier has taken over two heritage houses in the district to put together a journey through its creative perspective on flora and fauna design. This journey spans the many categories of products the house crafts: fragrances, leather goods, scarves, eyewear, accessories, and, of course, timepieces and jewellery.

The fragrance zone, for instance, puts the focus on gardenia—which is the note and ingredient that is maintained across the La Panthère line of perfumes, from the young and flirty eau de toilette to the deep and sensual parfum. Over at a leather goods section, the brand has requisitioned one of its artisans—who will be present at select times—to demonstrate and illustrate the savoir-faire and craft that goes into Cartier maroquinerie.

The most lavish attention is reserved, naturally, for the house’s jewellery and watches. The largest area is dedicated to these categories, and brings together a host of fine creations from the house’s Faune et Flore collection. Expect panthers—lots of them—and beautifully arranged displays of tools, sketches and artisanal objects that shed light on the maison’s meticulous craftsmanship. Seeing the specific technique that Cartier artisans use to set diamonds on gold with a spiky effect to create the look of fur, for example, lends one an enhanced appreciation when you behold the array of finished Panthère jewels.

At Into The Wild, though, the panther—long the representative beast of this house—recedes a little from its traditional starring place. The brand has just introduced a new line of animal jewels to its Faune et Flore collection, and which debut in Singapore at this experience. A dark, jungle-inspired space creates just the sensorial priming you need to come up close with a new series of animal-head rings: parrot, rhinoceros, tiger and fish—playful newcomers to the Parisian house’s fabulous zoological world.
And after you have safaried in the world of Cartier, cap a visit off with a cup of tea. The brand has curated a tea experience with custom blends inspired by the panther’s imagined encounters with other animals. The teas are elegant, and a graceful way to remind yourself you have a city to get back to.

To celebrate the opening of Into The Wild in Singapore, the brand put on a ritzy, rollicking cocktail on the 19th, attended by a clutch of celebrity guests and friends of the maison. Thai-Hong Kong actress Lingling Kwong and Vietnamese actress Phan Thanh Hang were in town for the party; as were Singapore celebrities Zoe Tay, Rebecca Lim, Jeanette Aw, Lawrence Wong, Chantalle Ng and Glenn Yong. The jewels of choice for the night were a no-brainer: Panthère, Panthère, Panthère.
Into The Wild by Cartier is open to the public from 21 to 25 October 2026, at 17 Rochester Park. Register for a slot here.
