In the past, we had to rely on the septet’s joint Instagram account to fulfil our BTS content needs. On 6 December, however, each of the band members blessed us with the launch of their solo accounts. Needless to say, the world was quick to hit the follow button.
The drop of the BTS’ personal accounts came shortly after their announcement of an extended hiatus to recharge and get reinspired. This time will serve as a well-earned break for the group, but for their worldwide fanbase, it means a patient wait for their return to the stage in Seoul next March.
In the meantime, we’ve gotten glimpses of Jin’s love for sharing a good foodie shot and RM’s visual archive of art and architecture, to Suga’s fondness for sunsets and selfies as well as J-Hopes polaroid-themed feed.
We’ve also been treated to V’s collection of holiday pictures interspersed with videos of American musicians from the ’50s. Although Jung Kook and Jimin are not as active on the app as their bandmates, we have still been given a glance into pre-show rehearsals, with mirror selfies and snaps of the sky at golden hour.
And of course, with Instagram shots come ample sartorial inspiration and the boys do not disappoint. From their love of urban streetwear and modern suiting, to accessories, hats and sunnies, these accounts serve as the perfect style lookbook to model your newest wardrobe additions after. To make the outfit emulation process a little easier for you, here is a guide to help you channel each K-pop idol’s off-duty aesthetic.
