Gird your loins, with fashion week done and dusted in New York, all eyes shift towards London. While Paris and Milan have the legacy houses and historic maisons, London thrives on the freshest, coolest, and rawest talents. The British city has become a buzzing hub for young designers, a melting pot of creativity and unapologetic self-expression. It’s no surprise then that London Fashion Week spring/summer 2026, was inaugurated by none other than Harris Reed. With the Victorian Gothic splendour of the St. Pancras Hotel as the backdrop, the subversive young designer’s tenth collection for his eponymous label was an unparalleled study of flight and confinement. The collection featured a slew of sculpted corsets, caged crinolines, and sculptural bustiers embroidered with motifs by English paper house, Fromental. The result? A bold, ornate collection rendered in a plush palette of periwinkle, cobalt, burgundy, and gold.
The buzziest presentation so far has arguably been H&M & 180: The London Issue. An ode to the City of London, the show dominated 180 Strand with Lola Young captivating the audience as she performed her Gen-Z anthem ‘Messy’—she made her way through the runway as models danced to her trippy beats. The star-studded show unfolded in three acts, with inspirations from the UK in the 90s. The fall 2025 show had a see-now-buy-now approach, with some of the pieces made available online immediately.
Fashion enthusiasts have plenty more to look forward to—with the likes of Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha, Erdem, and Anamika Khanna set to present their spring/summer collections over the next few days. Of course, closing the week out on Monday is the indispensable British heritage house, Burberry. One of England’s oldest and most distinguished brands, this will mark creative director Daniel Lee’s sixth runway show for the brand. And what would fashion week be without its equally glossy street style? Attendees have been putting their best foot forward. Think sequin skirts, slouchy boots, and eye-catching printed tops.
