All things considered, Euphoria is not a series that subverts genre expectations. Teen dramas have, historically, contained narratives surrounding adolescent pregnancy, drug use and societal pressures. They are shows built upon growing pains that allow viewers to reminiscence about the fleeting (and at times, foolish) nature of youth. Based on these factors alone, Euphoria fits neatly into its bracket. What sets it apart from the crowd is the way it chooses to deliver its message. As fans can attest, show runner Sam Levinson doesn’t stop at dialogue alone. Rather, he employs lighting, location, makeup, and—most palpably—fashion to convey the intentions of the characters.
That, in large part, explains why there is nothing typical about the threads featured in Euphoria. To see a character sport a school-emblazoned hoodie and jeans feels sacrilegious, almost; a betrayal to the universe and personalities so meticulously crafted by Levinson. There is a deliberateness to the choice of clothing in each episode, where it acts as a device to tip-off viewers about certain plot threads. Beyond that, it also provides a deeper look into each character’s psyche. Season one was brimming with such moments, such as with the shedding of Kat’s conservative wardrobe to make way for bold, dominatrix-inspired picks to reflect her new attitude towards sex and love.
Knowing this, it stands to reason that the show’s head costume designer, Heidi Bivens, has her work cut out for her. This is made further so thanks to the success of season one, with the series regarded as a style tour de force amongst the sartorial conscious. Bivens also earned Emmy, Primetime, and CDG Award nominations for her work on Euphoria, cementing her status as one of the most versatile and introspective stylists in the scene. Lucky for us, she’s continuing her streak in season two, with the first few episodes already comprising of a whole horde of screen-stealing ensembles. We chronicled them—and sourced similar pieces—for your perusal, below.

New romance
A simple, flirty fit is elevated once an embroidered crepe de chine collar and ruffled detailing comes into play.

In a Barbie world
Differing textures go a long way in adding to the visual appeal of an ensemble. Cassie’s knitted bra top acts as an ideal foil to a high-shine satin skirt.
6 / 71
Business casual
Jacquemus’s rendition of a white button-down successfully straddles the line between playful and polished. Pairing it with black lace shorts gives it a relaxed air that makes it an ideal ensemble to sport for brunch or a café date. While the original piece is sold out, we’ve provided some similar alternatives for your perusal.

Fun florals
A vibrant, brightly-coloured print is a surefire way to give a structured suit jacket silhouette some pizzaz.
11 / 71
Country chic
Eyebrows may have been raised over Cassie’s Oklahoma ensemble, but there’s no denying that it does draw the eye. And so did this very iconic scene played out in Euphoria High’s girls’ bathroom.

The height of luxury
Nothing says you’ve got it made quite like lavish sleepwear. Maddy’s clearly got the memo with her silk cami and bejeweled robe combo.

A strappy black number
The importance—and timelessness—of an LBD clearly isn’t lost on Maddy.

Pretty in pink
2022’s renewed take on the princess frock comprises frills, a full silhouette, and an above-knee length.

An audacious one-piece
For those looking to make an entrance, look no further than a swimsuit that incorporates sexy wrap around details—and that comes in a striking hue, to boot.

A slinky party dress
Maddy brings the heat in a figure-hugging mini-dress, gladiator wrap-around sandals, and elbow-length gloves.

Cassie’s party dress straddles the line between girlish and sexy with aplomb.

A bold take on a floaty frock
Nothing turns heads quite like an eye-catching print. Kat gets it, evidently.
34 / 71
Delicate layering and lace
Layers are feasible in our climate if it’s done with a sheer top. Jules sports one by Nihl NYC—which, unfortunately, doesn’t deliver to Singapore. The other components within her ensemble are fair game though.
37 / 71
Beachwear that screams summer vibes
Leave it to a chartreuse bikini to do all the work. Clearly Maddy is ahead of the curve.
40 / 71
The height of nostalgia
Complex prints and an embroidered mini-skirt might come off OTT, but there’s no denying how inspired this silhouette is. Maddy’s belly ring adds a nice finishing touch to this Y2K-inspired look.
43 / 71
A lesson in casual-cool
An outfit that might actually be high school appropriate? Euphoria sure is full of surprises. Kat keeps her band tee and cardigan combo from appearing trite by pairing it with an eclectic-patterned wrap skirt.
47 / 71
A single statement piece steals the show
When in doubt, take a leaf from Maddy’s book and base the rest of your attire around a specific standout piece in your wardrobe. A cardigan harbouring a colour-contrasting faux-fur collar certainly fits the bill.
49 / 71
Poised and prepared
Lexi is well-aware that you can’t go wrong with a preppy print when it’s paired with a peter-pan collar.
51 / 71
Texture and patterns galore
A ribbed, form-fitting cardigan draws the eye without detracting attention away from a pair of impeccably-tailored pants.
54 / 71
Asian influence
Ditch the bowling shirt. Instead, get your priorities straight (as Kat does) by attempting a modern qi pao-inspired top the next time you go for a game. This one incorporates modern stylistic elements that flaunt cutouts, a cropped fit and metal ring closures.
57 / 71
Playful prints abound
Busy prints work well when they harbour a similar colour palette. Jules ensures her ensemble doesn’t overwhelm by pairing her other layered pieces with a neutral-coloured leotard.
59 / 71
Logomania
Nothing brings you back to the early aughts quite like a logo-emblazoned tube top—though we suppose the same can be said for Maddy’s belly ring and nameplate necklace. It’s likely 2000s pop icon Britney Spears donned a similar outfit back in the day.

Offline By Aerie Real Me high waisted crossover leggings in true black, $69.95
Available at American Eagle.

Not your typical one-piece
The tantalising cut-outs on this one-piece means that Maddy will probably have to deal with some weird tan lines. But then again, does it matter if it means getting to flaunt her rock-solid abs? We think not.
65 / 71
A bikini for all occasions
This tie-front bikini top can be styled multiple ways to suit one’s mood. In short? A versatile piece designed to keep up with Cassie’s mercurial nature.
67 / 71
A flirty number
This scalloped-edged, floral fit makes for great first-date material—as it does a meet-up with the parents, in Kat’s case.
69 / 71
A trippy print
A dreamy psychedelic top is made edgy thanks to the incorporation of lace-up combat boots and utilitarian-looking jewellery. The exact turtleneck is sold out at most retailers—thankfully, there are still other pieces available in a different print but from the same designer.
