Balenciaga is always one of those hotly anticipated shows where you never what’s going to happen. Last season, creative director Demna Gvasalia showcased his collections under an apocalyptic sky of fire and lightning; the venue was half-submerged in water. Needless to say, it left an impression. This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic still at large in Europe, it remains to be seen how the French house will present its vision for spring/summer 2021 during Paris Fashion Week.
