It’s a little-known secret that the action at any runway show is actually happening backstage—and of course, Vogue World: London’s back of house was next level. It’s where all the mixing-and-mingling takes place—where you could spy, perhaps, Kate Moss rubbing Sienna Miller’s baby bump—and where all the finishing touches—from lacing up corset dresses to blush—come together. For an event celebrating everything anglo, it only made sense to have a British glam team at the helm.
Dame Pat McGrath, who hails from Northampton, leads the charge. There were hundreds of sparkling eyeshadow palettes, shiny tubes of lipstick, and glossy highlighter sticks from her eponymous brand at the ready to prepare the faces of our stars—and surprise appearances—so everybody was ready to sparkle.
Harry Styles’s brand Pleasing was on hand, literally, giving models and actors alike fresh manicures in shades like the sheer iridescent Pearly Tops and inky Dustin the Black Cat. For the hair, Eugene Souleiman smoothed, curled, and teased, spritzing products from Bumble and Bumble to get the desired vibe for every act. When the scent of the brand’s famous wave spray is in the air, you know it’s going to look good.
Take a peek behind the curtain—literally—and discover what was happening backstage at Vogue World: London, below. For even more coverage, follow our Vogue World live updates and watch Vogue World here.
