The fashion world has gotten used to virtual fashion presentations by this point of the pandemic—but Celine has decided to bring a breath of fresh air to our screens. Tune in and you’ll find yourself immersed in the breathtaking gardens of the Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, some 55 kilometers outside Paris, in the absence of a show at Paris Fashion Week.
The much-anticipated show opened with a model dressed in black, playing a harp in the midst of a large glittering pool, a fairytale-like scene that certainly had us transported to a place of magic and dreams. For this autumn/winter 2021 collection, there were coats and suits showcasing masculine volumes in cashmere fabric and luxurious knitwear in fine mousseux cashmere. We fawned over hunting boots in army-coloured leather, with romantic silk georgette dresses and hand-pleated capes moving through the beautiful formal fountains and pools landscaped centuries ago by André Le Nôtre.
Proving that Celine has adopted a young, wearable vibe, there were also cropped tops and flashes of denim in dipped lambskin, paired with western boots and oversized Celine Chasseur jackets—alongside both classic and new Celine handbags as shoulder bags.
