And just like that, the 98th Oscars is upon us. As always, the ceremony was replete with memorable moments, from a The Devil Wears Prada segment to Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s surprise appearance. It’s proven to be quite the unpredictable season, but regardless of what happened on stage, one thing’s for certain—everyone closed off awards season with a bang.
As for the beauty fiends, we waited with bated breath to see what the red carpet had in store for us. While 2025 may have been the year of up-dos, the 2026 Oscars made a compelling case for wearing your hair down with boho braids, classic Hollywood waves and glamorous side parts. The bixie never loses its chic factor. Smokey eyes and bold liner may always be red-carpet worthy, but refreshing it with light washes of colour and soft pink flushes can indeed feel like a breath of fresh air. And nothing rounds out the look like the small details—sculptural claws or tendrils pulled loose to frame the face, for instance.
Below, see Vogue Singapore’s round-up of beauty inspiration—fresh from the Oscars red carpet.

Jessie Buckley
She’s the woman of the hour. In a look befitting of her first Oscars win, the Hamnet actress sported a crimson pout that perfectly matched the red of her custom Chanel gown. Her platinum bob was slicked back this time, to keep the attention on her off-the-shoulder neckline.

Anne Hathaway
And Emily? Presenting alongside Anna Wintour herself, Anne Hathaway looked queenly in a half-up ‘do and a floral Valentino number.

Chase Infiniti
Lilac’s been having a moment this awards season, and for good reason. On the One Battle After Another starlet, a light dusting of purples from the LV Ombres Eyeshadow Palette in Cosmic Dreams added youthful elegance to her visage. Mirroring the waterfall frills of her gown were her bohemian braids, which featured a mix of box braids and loose curls by hairstylist Coree Moreno.

Emma Stone
It’s impossible to miss Emma Stone in any crowd. Her signature bixie took on a copper hue and was curled at the ends to accentuate her sculpted cheekbones.

Charithra Chandran
The Bridgerton star sure knows how to make a debut. Clad in an emerald green gown, the wide-eyed beauty’s peepers were smoked out with brown shadows and tightlined eyeliner.

Mikey Madison
Returning to the red carpet for the second year, the Anora star embraced classic Hollywood glam with a side-parted blowout, red lips and rosy cheeks.

Audrey Nuna
The ‘Golden’ songstress and Vogue Singapore cover star is no stranger to bold moments. Her custom Thom Browne look may have featured gilded fringing, but it was her nails that’ll make you do a double take. Globular golden accents adorned matching gold claws, thanks to the precise hands of manicurist Marielle Co.

Mia Goth
There’s always something ethereal about Mia Goth, and it might have to do with her soft glam looks. Luminous skin and lightened brows aside, make-up artist Emily Cheng tapped Rouge Dior On Stage in Confident Nude Shine onto the centre of her lips to create a diffused pout.

Ariana Greenblatt
It’s her first time on the Oscars carpet, and already Ariana Greenblatt is making waves. Her natural texture was enhanced and left to graze her shoulders to complement the neckline of her ivory gown.

Wunmi Mosaku
It’s official—the inner corner highlight is back. The Sinners actress dazzled in custom Louis Vuitton and touches of green sparkle in the tear ducts.

Rei Ami
Opting for a shorter hemline wasn’t the only thing the ‘Golden’ singer did differently on the carpet. Her blade-cut bangs were matched by her spiky up-do, achieved by an artful arrangement of straightened ends by hairstylist Anh Co Tran.
