If you’ve ever had a proper look at Hailey Bieber’s skin—either in person or via one of your many screens—there’s no way you could argue against the fact that her complexion leaves little room for competition.
Whether she’s red carpet bound, posing for a cover shoot, fronting a campaign, or walking down the aisle (as she did with husband, Justin Bieber), the Los Angeles-based model is always sans blemishes, free of creases and never fails to amp up her glow. And, her obsession with skincare is likely to have something to do with it.
“I’m such a big skin person and I love being in the sun and I love body lotion and hair products,” Bieber told Vogue during her cover interview for our October 2019 issue, confessing that her infatuation with it had reached the point of her considering her own range. Enter: Rhode, her own skincare line launched in 2022, which women around the world flocked to in the hope of recreating Bieber’s glazed-doughnut skin.
In a Facebook Watch web series with her husband, the model also revealed that while self-isolating, she had taken it upon herself to revamp the singer’s own skincare routine in order to address his breakouts, which he shared he trusts her to do.
“Justin has really nice skin naturally, and over the last two years he’s really been struggling with adult acne onset breakouts,” Bieber says in the video. “I’m super into skin care, especially because we’ve had a lot of time in this quarantine… I told him that by the time we exit this quarantine he is going to have glowing, perfect skin so we are going to work on that.”
But of course, behind every great face is a solid skincare routine and seasoned skin expert. Recently, Australian facialist Melanie Grant—who splits her time between Sydney, Paris and Los Angeles—took to Instagram to give us a rough rundown of Hailey Bieber’s skincare routine. The same routine her husband is likely following now too.
And considering Grant looks after the likes of Victoria Beckham, Phoebe Tonkin, Nicole Warne, and even Kim Kardashian West, you can only imagine that Bieber’s routine is as luxurious as can be.
Per Grant’s Instagram post, following a consultation at Grant’s Melrose Place studio, Bieber’s prescribed products include an anti-pollution milk cleanser from cult French skincare brand, Biologique Recherche, a healing serum which counts Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kourtney Kardashian as fans, and a deeply hydrating anti-ageing moisturiser that’s literally called The Rich Cream.
In the time since Grant revealed Bieber’s skin prescription, the model has taken sharing skincare favourites into her own hands, handing out her own recommendations to her good skin-loving fans and citing cult-favourite brands like Drunk Elephant, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Skinceuticals and Vintner’s Daughter among her favourites. Rhode, naturally, is also among her favourites.
