BSS from Seventeen fronts the OPPO Reno12 Series
Earlier this year, BSS, a sub-unit from K-pop group Seventeen, was announced as OPPO’s ambassadors. Comprising of members Seungkwan, Hoshi and DK, the trio promoted the OPPO Reno11 F in style, reflecting the dynamic energy of their hit title track from 2023, ‘Fighting (feat. Lee Young Ji)’, in a series of promotional videos, and even using the trusty device in Seventeen’s latest ‘Cheers to Youth’ music video. Now, the leading smartphone brand is once again teaming up with the unit to launch its highly-anticipated OPPO Reno12 Series.
Beyond its sleek new appearance, the Reno12 will boast an advanced suite of GenAI features that can be utilised for daily functions. The AI Eraser 2.0 function for example, will allow one to clean up the background of an image, so you can erase unwelcome passer-bys caught in a selfie. Fans of BSS can not only expect to see their favourite trio fronting a series of OPPO promotional videos, but also look forward to receiving a limited-edition BSS Souvenir box or BSS postcards with any purchase of the OPPO Reno12 or OPPO Reno12 Pro. To make the experience sweeter? Selected OPPO stores in Singapore will be transformed into interactive photo spots for BSS fans to capture moments with the latest OPPO Reno12 series.

On the Wings of Hermès lands in Singapore
Enter a dreamscape like never before. Inside On the Wings of Hermès, a fantastical universe awaits—one that evokes the magical wonder of the maison’s imaginative and artisanal world. Having first travelled to Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Shanghai, the sensorial cinematic experience has finally arrived in Singapore. A masterful performance put together by Belgian duo, director Jaco Van Dormael and choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey, and the Astragales dance company, this metaphorical work of art, which takes its narrative cues from the mythical winged horse Pegasus, blends dance, object theatre, music and cinema all in one. Expect Hermès objects (such as a humorous opera cast of Kelly bags) to come alive like puppets, lyrical dance sequences, and even the opportunity to discover the eponymous short film that was inspired by this one-of-a-kind experience.
On the Wings of Hermès will show in Singapore from 19 to 28 July. Book a visit here.

The Michelin Guide Singapore 2024’s selections have been announced
For the discerning gourmands in the crowd, this was a special week as the Michelin Guide Singapore 2024 unveiled its latest selection. The stars of the lot? Four new restaurants which have been awarded their first Michelin star, with three of them being dining destinations that have only opened in the last year. Namely, chef duo Francisco Araya and Fernanda Guerrero’s Araya, known for its ingenious blend of Chilean and Japanese flavours; chef Bjoern Alexander’s Matera, where the best of Italian cuisine is infused with an Asian twist; and Chaleur’s expressive Japanese-French course menu by executive chef Masahiko Kawano. Meanwhile, the final star has been awarded to Pangium, earning chef-owner Malcolm Lee his second Michelin-star restaurant after Candlenut.
This year, one restaurant has also earned an additional star, now moving onto the two-Michelin-star list. Now in its ninth year, Busan-born chef Sun-Kim’s Meta continues to bring exceptional South Korean fare to the table. Elsewhere, contemporary Southeast Asian restaurant Fiz by chef-owner Hafizzul Hashim is the second restaurant in Singapore to be awarded the Michelin Green Star, which spotlights establishments who are at the forefront of the industry when it comes to sustainable, eco-friendly practices.
