The Givenchy men’s spring/summer 2023 collection is no exception to the roster of exciting, subversive showings set to take place during men’s fashion week. This year will also witness the industry stalwart showcasing its menswear collection wholly separate from its previous co-ed fashion shows, in what is a welcome change towards a new generation of fashion-driven men.
Brought to you by artistic director Matthew M. Williams, the upcoming Givenchy men’s spring/summer collection is expected to be just as streamlined, stark, and contemporary. And with each passing season, the maison has continuously projected an austere yet sexy interpretation of industrial elements in the vein of leather hoods, baggy leather cargos, and clean-cut blazers.
The house’s last spring/summer showing, in particular, was an elaborate display of striking proportions. Some standout pieces from the menswear lineup included a dystopian spider-web hoodie, sculptured shoulders, voluminous tailoring, and intricate leather motorcycle-inspired pieces. There’s plenty to expect from the upcoming collection—especially with the maison experiencing a high demand of menswear, courtesy of its TK-360 knitted sneakers that elevate the collection altogether.
