For spring, Nicolas Ghesquière threw caution to the wind: a series of light, free-spirited silhouettes came trotting down the runway—but they were juxtaposed with unexpected fabrications of leather and PVC, a spattering of ostentatious accessories and a sort of dynamism that could only belong to the Louis Vuitton woman. It was rather in opposition to what was presented at the previous fall season, where Ghesquière toyed with the house’s French roots, for a more subdued showing overall: one that paid attention to what a Parisian might slip into for their day-to-day lives.
So begets the question: what of fall? This season, Louis Vuitton will be showing its fall/winter 2024 show at the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris. By way of buzzy fashion show invitations, the maison has distributed a ‘special letter’ to friends of the house—a personal one from Ghesquière himself, who celebrates ten years at Louis Vuitton this year. “Ten years later, this evening is a new dawn. I wanted to continue this inspiring journey, open to the future and to the world,” reads house ambassadors Emma Stone and Deepika Padukone. In light of such an affair, a considered excavation of the house’s ever-evolving romance with travel can hence be expected, spliced in with Ghesquière’s tendency towards the unconventional.

And as with every season, a large slice of the anticipation lies with its celebrity guest list—and even more so with Louis Vuitton, a house that consistently calls upon some of the biggest names across the globe to attend its shows. Today’s attendees might include house ambassadors Felix of Stray Kids, Hyein of NewJeans, Phoebe Dynevor, Cate Blanchett and more.
Tune in live to the Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2024 show from Paris, happening on 6 March at 2.30AM SGT.
