For the spring/summer 2026 season, designer debuts have been all the rage. Whilst a designer’s first move at a new house might be rife with importance, it can be said that a sophomore collection is equally as important—a turn in the lock of sorts, that cements the creative visions for the maisons they now helm. Such might be the case for Sarah Burton, who is presenting her second act for Givenchy this season. Her first collection was true to her slow, time-honoured approach to creating for women—filled with precise cuts, structured shapes, and a strong focus on tailoring. There was plenty of play too, a dress made of powder compacts that spoke to the idea of desire and intimacy in a woman’s wardrobe. A designer’s designer in every sense of the term.
So the question lies in what we can expect for her next move tonight in Paris. At Givenchy, more so than ever, Burton is evidently concerned with how to create clothes and pieces that feel beautiful, and intrinsic to the feminine. For this upcoming collection, the brand’s Instagram sees visual teasers of various parts of a woman’s body—all restricted, and free to move.

The anticipation builds and some of her front row invitees have already been seen making their way to the show. Expected attendees include friends of the house like Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Ortega, Raye, Charlize Theron, newly-minted ambassador Zhang Ruonan, Fan Cheng Cheng, as well as Joshua of Seventeen.
All that’s left is to sit back and watch her collection unfold. Be one of the first to watch the Givenchy spring/summer 2026 show here at 1130PM SGT on 3 October, happening live from Paris.
