For the April ‘Pop’ issue, Vogue Singapore tapped the visual mastery of renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight to lense British singer-songwriter, Charli XCX. Bold and individualistic in her music and style, Charli’s roots mirror the underground music scene, with her high-octane sets at Boiler Room London and frequent collaborations with music mavens.
From 11 April onwards, 300 copies of a limited-edition metallic cover of this issue will be available to shop, boasting a glistening silver finish that serves as a nod to the cover star’s club and rave background. Otherworldly and futuristic in concept, the pop starlet is seen donning a Bottega Veneta dress, her striking demeanour unabashed and confident.
To commemorate the release of this special cover, Vogue Singapore has partnered up with local jewellery brand Ask & Embla to launch the exclusive Paradox earrings available with a purchase of the limited-edition magazine. Founded in 2013, the alternative label is conceptualised from the creed of norse mythology, and prides itself in making accessories that aim to inspire and empower all wearers to cultivate their own unique sense of style.
Edgy yet versatile in its approach, the Paradox Earrings are unisex and crafted from two-toned stainless steel, and feature removable long links that allow its wearer to don the two-toned earrings either asymmetrically or huggie-style. With a modular make that allows for it to be both a statement accessory and a minimal everyday companion, it allows for ease of styling with an array of ensembles.
“The Paradox earrings possess the ability to be worn in multiple ways, placing power and freedom of expression in the hands of its wearer.”
Shares founder and designer Olivia Eleazar of the collaboration: “The Paradox earrings possess the ability to be worn in multiple ways, placing a certain power and freedom of expression in the hands of its wearer. This goes back to Ask & Embla’s vision of a diverse and inclusive world where everyone has endless possibilities to be who they want to be.” She notes that Vogue Singapore shares a similar vision for the industry, with an ongoing mission to advocate positive change and cultivate a new generation of creatives and thinkers.
“These earrings are for anyone who shares our dream,” muses Eleazar. “All change-makers in any form; the rebels, mystics, and romantics are invited and welcome to adorn their soul with the Paradox Earrings.”
The limited-edition metallic cover is now available to shop on Vogue’s Shopify.
Ask & Embla’s Paradox Earrings are available to shop here from 11 April to 31 May, while stocks last. All shoppers will receive a complimentary copy of the limited-edition magazine with every purchase of the Paradox earrings.
