Yes, you read that right: There is a slightly bookish and whip-smart feel to Sivan’s outfit. No, we’re not just talking about the cool steel-rimmed specs—his dress shirt, buttoned to the top, and grey cardigan also evoke a more scholarly feel, as do his grey wool trousers—the kind you would wear as the final piece of a private school uniform. But given this is a fashion week event, Sivan couldn’t help but make the professional look a little cooler—thanks to a delicious chocolate brown leather peacoat, which added just the right amount of edge.
Still, we are fully on board with the new geek-chic aesthetic, which is a far cry from the more sexy and deliberately-sleazy threads (or lack thereof) that he wore throughout the Sweat tour with Charli XCX.
