Armed with a penchant for the finer things in life and a vanity to die for, Michelle Sielman is a Sri Lankan beauty connoisseur and content creator. She takes us through her collection’s most covetable picks, from brows to bodycare.
Best hair tool I’m not huge on styling my hair since fine hair really can’t take much, but the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, $649, is hands down one of the best gifts I’ve ever received.
Top skincare product Clé de Peau Beauté’s La Creme, $875 I use it nightly and wake up to the most supple, soft skin every morning.
Make-up must-have I’m a lipstick junkie and totally obsessed with colour. It’s the only make-up product that can instantly uplift any look, so I like to have loads to choose from. My current favourite is Rouge Hermèsin Rose Nymphéa, $118, from Hermès.

Holy grail Well-groomed brows are an essential step in my make-up routine and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, $36, is a product I’ve repurchased over and over. The formula is not too hard or too waxy, and the ultra-fine nib allows precision like no other.
Skincare ritual I have dry combination skin that’s also sensitive, so I concentrate on products that hydrate, protect my skin barrier and build collagen. My top picks are Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser, $40, Clé de Peau Beauté’s Hydro Softening Lotion, $180, and Brightening Serum Supreme, $470, and Belif’s The True Cream, $65, that I alternate with my La Creme.
Mental health marker If I’m having a particularly stressful week, I avoid any chores over the weekend and spend time sleeping in, light my favourite candles (like Diptyque’s Tuberose, $122) and treat myself to a face mask and quality playtime with my dogs.

Best body product For neck to toe, I go with Clé de Peau Beauté—their Body Emulsion, $165, is nourishing, velvety and smells like blooming peonies and orchids.
Favourite feature I always zoom in on my eyes. Nars eyeshadow palettes are what I use most and when I feel like adding glitter, Victoria Beckham and Hourglass are the best.
Essential self-care Sleep! I used to be a night owl but now I’ve finally fallen into a healthy routine of going to bed before 11.30pm. I slip into my ultra-soft Selenightco sleepwear and get the rest my body deserves. Eight hours does wonders.

Mindful mantra Breakout of the habit of people-pleasing—it leads to taking on more than you can handle, which eventually leads to burn out.
Fitness tip I stick to a very clean diet, most of which is home-cooked and includes a plateful of fresh vegetables. I strongly believe that you are what you eat.
Furthest I’ve gone in the name of beauty I’m relentless when it comes to sourcing make-up. I’ve engaged concierge services to shop and send over limited-edition lipsticks from Singapore and the US.
