At just 23, K-pop soloist Jeon Somi is already nearly a decade into her career; making her one of the most recognisable faces in South Korea. First entering the spotlight in the 2015 idol survival series Sixteen, where she nearly made it into the line-up of Twice, she later joined and ranked first place in Produce 101, becoming the face of the project girl group I.O.I alongside stars like Chung Ha and Kim Sejeong, among others. When she finally made her solo debut in 2019, Jeon was already a household name known for her lively “human vitamin” persona and youthful spirit. Despite seeing success this early in her life, the Dutch-Korean-Canadian starlet continues to push the envelope, honing not only her musical talents but also her eye for fashion and beauty at every opportunity, be it experimenting with her personal style on stage or launching her own beauty brand, Glyf, last year.
Throughout her career, Jeon has become steadily more involved in her music concepts, an extension of her keen interest and creativity when it comes to expressing herself through styling. She’s made significant headway in the fashion world in the last few years, joining the house of Prada as a global ambassador and having represented and participated in campaigns for a diverse range of brands, from Converse to The North Face.
