Those who have been keeping score would know this: every few years, Saoirse Ronan comes out of her hiatus to shake up the scene. It’s a comeback that entraps the watchful eyes of cinephiles and often, one that puts the Irish actor front and centre of the Oscar race. After all, when she was just 13, she received her first Academy award nomination for her portrayal of young Briony in Atonement. Since then, the actor has built a robust filmography—from Brooklyn and Little Women to award juggernaut Ladybird.
This year, the star proves she’s still the ever burning force to watch. By way of not one but two films—historical war drama Blitz and strong Oscar contender The Outrun, where Ronan plays a struggling addict Rona in the latter. It’s evident, whilst successfully keeping away from the spotlight for the last few years, the actor has been booked and busy.
Now, all that’s left to do is to shine on the press circuit, a task that newly-minted stylist Daniele Goldberg has been acing since Ronan first stepped out in a wax jacket-turned-gown by LVMH prize winner Hodakova. A departure from the typical outfitting we’ve been used to seeing on Ronan: pretty…but always safe. Now, in what seems to in a new phase of her life; happily married, emboldened in speaking out for the female population (we’re looking at you Paul Mescal), Ronan is basking in the glow of it all. Her style mirrors just that: sexy, unapologetic and still, distinguished. Amongst her recent looks, an ultra-short minidress from JW Anderson, a louche shirt-and pant combo from Ferragamo and of course, rightfully, many Louis Vuitton appearances granted Ronan’s house ambassadorship.
Below, see how Ronan has been dominating in the style department, beyond the silver screen.
