For it’s latest spring/summer 2024 collection, the brand tapped into its enduring American heritage, looking back at its house archives and artistry. Titled Made in USA, the collection brought back several house signatures, reimagining these timeless classics through a refinement of fabric, design and construction.
Standout pieces from the lineup include an array of capsule wardrobe items, elevated basics in the form of hoodies, crewneck sweaters, T-shirts and sweatpants. Offered in bright, summery pastels of peach, baby blue and, each garment is made from a luxurious French terry cotton, its stellar craftsmanship a testament to the master artisans who exhibit peerless skill and acute attention to detail.
Aside from the apparels, two iconic footwear models also get a revamp in fresh colourways. The first is the 990v4, a slim sneaker that boasts a precise mesh upper overlayed with supple pigskin suede. This model is offered in shades of macadamia nut and artic grey, with the latter variant featuring buffed and sanded down Nubuck leather accents as an added touch of pizzazz. The second model is the 990v6, a chunkier alternative fit for the outdoors. They come in a new hue called true camo—which sees various hints of green melded together—screaming of versatility and functionality in wear.
Aligning with the release of the Made in USA collection are a set of campaign image, captured in downtown New York city buses. Exuding a certain urban charm and air of confidence synonymous with the American dream, the result is one that showcases and exemplifies the New Balance lifestyle.
