Moët & Chandon has announced its first-ever global collaboration. Partnering with Korean-American fashion designer Yoon Ahn, the brand will roll out a brand-new product design in the form of its reimagined Moët Impérial bottle. The team-up will attempt to showcase Ahn’s disruptive creativity as an artist, while supporting a charitable cause.
Ahn, co-founder and creative director of the fashion label, AMBUSH, was chosen by the House for the partnership because of her “rule-breaker” spirit, a rep Moët & Chandon shared. This will be the first time in 152 years of operation that the iconic Moët & Chandon Impérial bottle will be redesigned by an artist.

With her signature minimalist aesthetics, Ahn has changed the gold neck of the bottle to a deep shade of black, contrasting it with a new embossed label in white, to produce an eye-catching design that the House hopes will suggest a blank slate. The limited-edition bottle will contain the signature champagne that was first crafted for the brand in 1869—a drink defined by a bright fruitiness, a seductive palate and an elegant maturity.
The collaboration also marks the first time a portion of the brand’s bottle sales will go to benefit a charitable cause. That cause, the World Land Trust, was selected by Ahn herself.

The World Land Trust is an international conservation charity that protects threatened natural habitats. The collaboration will specifically aid the charity’s efforts to preserve Canandé Reserve in the Ecuadorian Chocó Forest, a spokesperson said. The mission of World Land Trust is to support local conservation partners, like Fundación Jocotoco in Ecuador, in their efforts to halt the destruction of ecosystems and to protect habitats where rare and endangered species still survive.
Inherent to the new design is also a profound respect for time-honored traditions of craftsmanship and transmission of know-how, values that both Ahn and the House share. The Moët & Chandon x AMBUSH product will be available at ultra-selective department stores, some of the trendiest lounge bars, chic hotels and select wine stores around the world.

Moët & Chandon x AMBUSH Limited Edition will be available in Singapore at 1855 The Bottle Shop’s e-store starting 26 February, 2021, and at their Suntec City brick-and-mortar outlet beginning 5 March, 2021.
