The fashion week season came and went. In a flurry, the spring/summer 2026 season was supercharged with energy, brimming with designer debuts, creative renewals of storied house archives, and of course, a starry front row cast across the board. On the runway, the beauty notes touched down with aplomb too; a Barbie pink pout at Chloé, tightlined peepers at Mossi, broken lashes at Tom Ford. Much in part due to the brilliant alchemists who performed their spell work and painterly strokes on the models backstage; Dame Pat McGrath and Guido Palau were the dream team for Schiaparelli, for instance.
Yet it also falls on each individual to take care of their skin—and their well-being as a whole. Amid the frenzy of fashion week, the most booked and busy models are often seen scampering off to the next gig, be it to another show they might be walking for, a casting that’s happening or even a shoot. Some might even be flying off to another country for the next leg of the fashion season. It’s already a life on the go, not to add the adverse effects that might emerge from piling and removing heavy layers of make-up every day.
It is of essence, then, that these models go the extra mile to take care of themselves, in order to remain in tip-top condition throughout the season, be it making sure they find ways to really lock in the hydration, or packing in a silk pillowcase to take with them wherever they go. We asked about the beauty and self-care mantras of models who walked some of the shows in the recent spring/summer 2026 season—as well as what they’re throwing into their beauty bags every time a busy period comes around.

What’s your go-to beauty mantra?
Making sure to get my skincare routine in, both in the morning and evening. Getting enough rest or sleep whenever possible is essential too.
With the long hours and sheer intensity of the period, how do you take care of your skin throughout fashion week season?
Making sure I stay hydrated all the time, so I look fresh throughout. I also make sure to drink a lot of water to prevent dehydration. Exfoliating is also key, followed by a toner and a dependable facial serum.

Skincare, a good meal and enough sleep and exercise. It’s simple.

It’s Neutrogena everything for me, from my exfoliator to toner and face serums.

What’s your go-to beauty mantra?
To only worry about the things you can control. People are being pushed to constantly improve their beauty look through skincare, beauty tools, and other products. Whilst I’ve definitely got my own version of a lengthy routine, I draw the line at something I can’t control nor worry about areas of my face that can’t be changed. That will be a detriment to my mental health. It may seem ridiculous for me to say this as a model but the industry has you looking at your appearance constantly, and it’s easy to slip and find yourself focusing on your ‘flaws’.

For one, I make sure the routine I have at home is the same as when I’m travelling so my skin doesn’t get thrown off when I’m on the go. There’s plenty of extra products I don’t use everyday so my skin isn’t reliant on it. I have a centella-rich skincare routine that helps my skin go through the make-up, airplane air, and the smoke-filled rooms of fashion week. My skincare is all Korean and my cleansers, serums, and masks all contain centella, which is a calming ingredient for the skin.

Eat and exercise. Sounds boring but it’s what really took me from an acne-ridden, bloated young adult to a chiseled, clear-skinned man. In terms of my diet, it’s mainly avoiding oily and fried foods. I try to do my best at getting tons of protein and fibre in me. I also follow a ‘fruit till noon’ mantra where I only eat fruit until noon and have my first meal as lunch. A good way to fast and get my fruits in everyday. I have a large appetite so you could never tell me no food at all until lunch.
I also bring a yoga mat with me everywhere I go because gyms aren’t very popular in Europe. It’s amazing what you can do with just a mat though, push-ups and sit-ups keep my body firm through fashion week. I look at exercise as a way to beat the stress out of you as well, I always feel at peace when I’m done.

Clio’s Micro-fessional Cleansing Pads is my favourite make-up remover of all time. It gets all my make-up off, even eyeliner and face paint. Yet, it leaves my skin so moisturised it looks like I just got a facial. It’s great because it comes in wipes instead of separate liquids and pads so you can carry it on a plane.
You’d be surprised how many beauty companies can’t get a lip balm right that actually nourishes your lips but the Aquaphor immediate relief lip balm is not only affordable, it also has never let me down. I even bring it on set to use.
A gua sha is the best tool you can bring whilst travelling, to keep your face snatched. It really helps release any water retention, which is key during fashion weeks with flights, no sleep, and high amounts of stress. I’ve been a gua sha enthusiast for years now, ever since a make-up artist used it on me once. It’s been a real game changer for me.
I actually travel with my own silk pillowcase because there are some horrible pillow cases waiting for you in hotels. Unclean or coarse pillowcases can be bad for your skin and hair, but the Blissy pillowcase is not too expensive and has a zipper on it so I can turn it inside out and protect it when I’m travelling.

What’s your go-to beauty mantra?
Less is more! Simplicity is so chic.
With the long hours and sheer intensity of the period, how do you take care of your skin throughout fashion week season?
Hydration! Hydration is key so lots of water, moisturiser and a good calming or collagen face mask. Also, wearing make-up as little as possible when you’re not working to let your skin breathe.

What is something you do as a form of self-care?
Sleep as much as possible, don’t drink alcohol, find time to connect with friends and always have a good book to read.

Eadem Le Chouchou balm in Butter Mochi is the best lip balm ever! For a hydration refresh, I use Rhode’s glazing mist, which is great on the go and makes your skin look like glass. I also keep some ginger or health shots in my purse at all times, because it’s so easy to get sick during a busy period or when you’re on the go. As for my essential scent, it’s the AlRehab Golden Sand Perfume Oil for me—you’ll never catch me without it.

What’s your go-to beauty mantra?
Taking care of yourself and feeling good in your own skin shows more than anything you put on it. I used to overthink routines (serums, acids, oils, ten-step regimens) but now I just keep it simple and show up. Confidence is free and honestly does more for your face than any product. When I look good, it’s usually because I slept well or because I pretended I did.
With the long hours and sheer intensity of the period, how do you take care of your skin throughout fashion week season?
I keep it simple: cleanser, moisturiser, SPF, repeat. I don’t believe in twelve-step routines when I’m living out of a suitcase. My skin’s on the drier side, so I always carry a good thick moisturiser with me. Just one that actually does its job. Between travelling, late nights and cold, dry air in rooms, it really saves my skin every time.

What is something you do to keep healthy?
I go for a run. Not to look perfect, but because it resets my brain. There’s just something about running with sweat dripping, music blasting and zoning out. It’s my form of therapy.

A hydrating face mist is essential because the air-con backstage is really bad for my skin. It’s quick, light, and saves me from the dryness. My go-to Byredo fragrance also makes me feel better about myself because I love it when I smell good. I also keep eye drops close by because your eyes can get so dry from trying not to blink as much on the runway, and the lights don’t help either. This keeps them clear so I actually look awake. I also keep K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask with me because there’s so much heat styling going on that my hair needs a reset. It keeps it smooth and strong, reversing all the damage.
