The Macallan Harmony Collection was born from this cherished relationship with nature, which The Macallan has nurtured over the past 200 years.
Each edition of the Harmony Collection has been presented in innovative sustainable packaging. Harmony I, for example, celebrated the indulgence of cacoa with the culinary Roca brothers, using discarded husks from cacao pods for its packaging. Meanwhile, Harmony II drew on the world of coffee and repurposed the by-product of coffee, coffee bean husks, for its packaging.
For the third annual release in The Harmony Collection, The Macallan has looked not just to nature, but also closer to its beautiful Scotland home for inspiration. In the creation of two new expressions, it has joined hands with two other creative powerhouses—sisters Stella and Mary McCartney.
With The Macallan, Stella and Mary share a deep reverence for nature as well as a passion for sustainability. Marking the debut joint venture for the two sisters, the new release sees fashion designer Stella and photographer Mary tapping into their individual strengths to dream up this collaboration.
The result lies in the Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow and Green Meadow, two distinct expressions which draw on sisters Stella and Mary McCartney’s love of the Scottish countryside, where they spent their childhood—with memories of farmhouses, horses and countryside smells.
Each bottle even contains a snippet of these memories, as The Macallan has incorporated discarded meadow cuttings into the presentation boxes and bottle labels as part of its efforts to sustainably reuse natural materials.
For connoisseurs seeking the next exciting flavour profile to explore, The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow brings to the nose aromas of honeysuckle, vanilla and ripe barley fields. On the palate is a pleasing combination of the same, with additional zing from lemon and orange notes, almond and green tea. With a richer ABV of 44.2 percent, it finishes sweet, long and complex—elevated by a sherry seasoned oak cask that fans recognise as signature of The Macallan.

The Macallan Harmony Collection Green Meadow, which is a travel retail exclusive, weighs in at a classic ABV of 40.2 percent, which is ideal for its more spring-like profile. Imagine the smell of grass after a morning rain—that would be petrichor, which is captured here along with fresh orange and lemon and even the delicate scent of primrose and bluebells. It comes together on the palate with vanilla, almonds and oak for a classic, creamy finish.
While Mary contributed the photography on the boxes, the sisters have both collaborated in deeper ways to realise the Together collection of 11 bespoke pieces that enchant through the lifestyle they evoke. Designed with sustainability in mind, highlights include handmade glassware tinted with natural minerals, alternative leather made from apple, and traditional ceramic with no sign of the toxic heavy metals typically found in ceramics.
