Reality comes in many forms. At Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2021 show, it was all about virtual reality. Singapore’s first physical fashion show since the pandemic, the glamorous spectacle took place at the ArtScience Museum. The virtual reality experience saw a set plastered in green screens, playing footage from Wim Wenders’ 1987 film Wings of Desire. Beyond the technological feast dreamed up by Nicolas Ghesquière, the collection comprised an array of innovative pieces, but with one clear standout—the Coussin bag, which flourished in black, silver, and most fittingly, the all-star colour of the season, green.
See our favourite looks below, with the green screens on which the models were shot replaced with some of Singapore’s most iconic backgrounds.
