Its latest foray into Bauhaus is empowering a new generation of women artists like Sabine Marcelis, whom La Prairie has commissioned to mentor five emerging female talents from the world’s most prestigious art schools to interpret the notion of harmony into visual artworks.
These young creatives parallel the remarkable female artists of Bauhaus who overcame societal norms to advance the movement for other women. In a celebration of this legacy, they came together in a year-long collaborative programme called The Pursuit of Harmony, a concept that is intrinsic to the School of Bauhaus. Their unique digital works will be presented in a virtual exhibition hosted on La Prairie’s website.
Through this endeavour, the house offers women artists a platform upon which they can express their vision for abetter and more equitable tomorrow.
