Like the most memorable holidays, Halloween is best experienced across a period of time. One day of celebration just doesn’t cut it, even if Resorts World Sentosa’s (RWS) annual homage to All Hallows’s Eve at Universal Studios Singapore has grown into an institution in its own right. This year, the resort is upping the ante in the form of the Festival of Thrills at Resorts World Sentosa, running until 1 November. The season-long homage to the scariest time of the year ushers to our sunny shores a suite of unmissable experiences. It’s a veritable one-stop shop for all your fashion, beauty and lifestyle needs—spanning race-season activities, gastronomy galore and resort stay getaways.
Rest assured, horror hounds, the festival will still feature the Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights (this year is its 14th edition). However, the iconic event is merely one piece of RWS’s grand plan to kick things off with style. This month, an itinerary for the ages awaits everyone looking to get their thrills on, beginning with a glittering M.A.C. Cosmetics pop-up.

A fitting start, to be sure, and not just because the pop-up is carried out in conjunction with Halloween Horror Nights 14. If you want to look your very best, then the world-famous beauty brand has your back. Transformation is the name of their game, never more than when it comes to the Halloween season. Didn’t know you had it in you? Not to worry, the expert eye of professional M.A.C. Cosmetics artists on the ground will have you turning heads in no time. With their help, expect to be born anew—into the most beautiful, or perhaps terrifying, version of yourself, perfectly in time for the festivities. To lend a helping hand, claw or otherwise thematically appropriate appendage are a series of spellbinding characters straight from the main event itself.
Snag their looks, or embrace a different side of yourself entirely—the choice is yours. If you’re in the mood to simply level up your beauty game, the pop-up will be home to two exclusive masterclasses on 9 and 17 October, from 4-6pm. Between make-up demonstrations and personal consultations, and possibly a tarot card reading or two, you’ll be fully equipped to tackle the rest of the occasion with ease.

Speaking of: don’t forget to check out the Fanta Spook-tacular Hub while you’re at it, available at Weave and Halloween Horror Nights 14 on selected event nights . Once decked out in your Halloween best, head to the Hub for a party like no other. Appropriately dubbed ‘Rest In Party’—and inspired by The Raveyard at Halloween Horror Nights 14—the gathering is also an exercise in transformation: one fuelled by the heartbeat of a neon-riddled rave. Set against the backdrop of an abandoned Fanta fizz factory and packed with petrifying paraphernalia like haunted machinery and fizzy concoctions, this soiree is not to be missed.
Rounding out the Fanta experience are a slew of Halloween-themed games and photo opportunities. If that’s not enough incentive, rewards await the more enterprising visitors—purchase two participating Coca-Cola beverages, receive a game pass and stand a chance to win Fanta merchandise.

This is just the tip of the iceberg at the Festival of Thrills at Resorts World Sentosa, though. Naturally, the Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 14 is a standout highlight of this whole affair. Through 1 November, this year’s edition introduces a brand-new character inspired by the legendary Pontianak ghost Ponti-Ana alongside three electrifying live shows. But beyond that, there’s plenty of fun for everyone, regardless of your seasonal inclinations.
Haunted Spirits at Horatio offers a speakeasy experience that’s equal parts spooky and sophisticated. Moutarde boast a weekend brunch sure to satisfy foodies everywhere. And families can enjoy the Trick or Thrills programme at Universal Studios Singapore, culminating in the Minions-themed Belloween Ball; explore the breathtaking Legend Keepers experience at Adventure Cove Waterpark by day and dive deep into the waterpark’s Pool Party Panic experience by night; and discover the wonders of the ocean at Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium.

Keen to make the most of your time at the resort? Simply check out the Frights for Two stay package and After Dark drinks pass, as well as RWS’s Thrill-Seeker Experience—tailor-made to matchmake you with the festival spots most suited to your thrill-seeking personality—and set yourself up for days (and nights) of heady success.
So what are you waiting for? There’s never been a better time to get the blood boiling and heart pumping. The Festival of Thrills at Resorts World Sentosa is your ticket to the Halloween experience of a lifetime.
