What’s puffy, and pillowy and infinitely more huggable—and practical—than a soft toy? Miu Miu must have read our minds this season with the introduction of its new bag style: the Miu Miu Belle. Introduced on the fashion brand’s autumn/winter 2020 runway, the luxuriously squishy number was incarnated in two styles, either as a top handle bag or a clutch.
Made from buttery nappa leather, the matelassé technique—a long-time Miu Miu signature—has been employed here to great effect, with the leather first being paired with wadding and elastic cloth, and then quilted for that cosy, comforting look. Another plus? The leather is extremely pliable and can stretch (within reason) to fit your daily essentials. No downsizing or streamlining of what you choose to take with you about your day here. The bag is finished with a polished metal frame and black clasp—a contrasting detail to the soft body that gives it a modern edge.
